This course is open to ages 12 and up. We will cover basic wire wrapping techniques using an assortment of gemstone beads. Students will make 3 wire wrap gemstone pendants.
Learn the age old technique of wire wrapping, a great way of showing off an assortment of bead shapes and styles. No soldering or gluing is involved and you will learn to twist and interlock wire to create stunning jewelry.
During the class, experienced wire wrapper and jewelry designer Tegan Jacobs will guide you through the process of working with the wire, creating twists, curls and coils. Once you have covered the basic techniques, you will work through 3 projects throughout the class to develop your skills and should leave with a least 3 finished pieces of jewelry.
What you need to bring to this class:
For this class you don't need to bring anything but yourself, as everything is provided.
Tools are provided to use during the class and will be available for purchase if you would like to continue the craft at home.
