The beautiful rainbow colors of Fluorite! Fluorite comes in a multitude of colors with purple, green, blue and clear being the most common.
Interesting Fluorite Facts:
- Fluorite is often called "The Genius Stone" because it is said to amplify, focus, open and expand the mind creating new pathways for knowledge.
- Fluorite is used as an alternate birthstone for February
- Fluorite Exhibits two Polished Stone interesting physical properties. The first is "fluorescence" where the stone will glow under a black light. The other is "thermoluminescence" which is where the stone will glow when heat is applied. Please note! The thermoluminescence is a one-time thing. If you heat your Fluorite to see this property the glow will fade and your specimen will never look the same!
