Galena, (sometimes called lead glance), is the natural mineral form of lead sulfide. It is the most important ore of lead and an important source of silver. Galena is one of the most abundant and widely distributed sulfide minerals. It crystallizes in the cubic crystal system often showing octahedral forms.

Galena is a grounding stone and enhances the centering of one’s energies. It is a stone of harmony, stimulating interaction on all levels, and assisting in the decrease of self-limiting ideas. Galena is used to open pathways between the physical and ethereal bodies in order to allow for the alignment of energies and the stimulation of the nervous system. Galena is said to bring healing, calmness, efficiency, receptivity, communication and insight.
