This is an authentic Campo del Cielo Meteorite slice that measures 6.75" x 4" x 0.15" (17.2cm x 10.2cm x 0.4cm) and weighs 430 grams!
The Campo del Cielo refers to a group of iron meteorites or to the area where they were found situated Northwest of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The crater field covers an area of 3×20 kilometres and contains at least 26 craters, the largest being 115×91 meters.
Discovered in 1576 by the Spanish, the craters are estimated at 4000 - 5000 years old.
Campo del Cielo translated means "Field of Heaven".
