Moonstone was aptly named due to its shimmering moonlight appearance. It comes in many different colors (yellow, blue, pink, white) with the most sought after type being Rainbow Moonstone known for its bluish reflections. Many consider Moonstone to be a feminine stone and has been referred to as the Mother Earth Stone. In India, Moonstone is considered a sacred stone and is used for protection when travelling. Moonstone is one of the birthstones for June.
